Winning of season 8 of The Ultimate Fighter, Efrain Escudero remains unbeaten in his MMA career, sporting a record of 12-0.

Mike: Congrats on the win over Cole Miller, could you give us your thoughts on that fight?
Efrain: Thank you! Cole is a great fighter and it was an honor to face him.

Mike: Were you surprised at all, about how quickly it ended?
Efrain: Not really, my boxing coach and I had a great game plan if I could keep the fight standing. I have a lot of power in my hands and Rob Monroe is teaching me how to accurately use that power.

Mike: Any word on when you may return to the octagon?
Efrain: I am ready to fight tomorrow. The UFC 155 division is so stacked and they owe a lot of people fights, so I will wait my turn. In the mean time I have joined The LAB in Glendale Arizona and I am training every day working on my fundamentals.

Mike: Is there anyone at LW you would like next or feel you would matchup with well?
Efrain: I try not call out fighters. I will be ready for whoever they put in front of me.

Mike: How did you get started in MMA?
Efrain: I used MMA as a way to fund my college tuition. On my breaks from school I would get fights. Sometimes even fighting back to back weekends. Drew Fickett, Jamie Varner, Jesse Forbes and several other top MMA fighters came from my college.

Mike: And how did you end up being selected for TUF?
Efrain: When my coach at the time, Santino Defranco could not make the call, I was given the chance. Prior to leaving, my father became sick and passed away and he asked me to go on the show and to fight to win. I did that for him.

Mike: Since being on the show, how has your life/career changed?
Efrain: I’m pretty much the same Efrain aside from I have media commitments and lots of people recognize me. The biggest change is my fans in Mexico, they are learning a lot about MMA and the support I get from my home country is tremendous.

Mike: How’s the training been going, and who are some of the guys that prepare you for a fight?
Efrain: Training is good. We train with guys like Ben Henderson, Ryan Kelly, Danny Martinez, Santino Defranco, Edgar Garcia, Charlie Brown and many many more talented young up and coming guys.

Mike: Out of everyone you have fought/sparred/etc… who has hit the hardest?
Efrain: My Dad, then Edgar Garcia.

Mike: If they brought a tag team title to MMA, and you were put into the LW tourny... who would you want as your partner?
Efrain: Ben Henderson.

Mike: If they made a movie about your life, who would you want to play your role?
Efrain: Kimbo Slice, I know people would watch if he played me.

Mike: That’s all I have for you, anything you wanna close with?
Efrain: Thanks to MTXMMA.com, MTX Audio, Dethrone Royalty, Rockwell Watches, TapouT, and Bud Light. Please follow me on twitter @effyescuduero and my website efrainescudero.com

Mike: Thanks for your time, look forward to seeing you back in action soon!
Efrain: Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your magazine. Thank you for your time and support.
